SCHOOL OF MODERN DANCE team is a group of passionate, talented dancers who are building a vibrant community around them.
OUR TEAM

Anna is an experienced dance educator and choreographer with over 25 years of teaching experience and an extensive background in dance and performance. A graduate of the National Ballet School in Ukraine and a Master of Sports in Rhythmic Gymnastics, she is a multiple award winner at dance competitions across Europe and has also served as an adjudicator at international dance competitions. Throughout her career in Ukraine, Anna performed in national-level concerts and participated in numerous shows and projects as both a dancer and choreographer. She also worked extensively in the Ukrainian music industry, collaborating with a number of well-known Ukrainian singers and artists. After moving to Ottawa, Anna continued her performing career as a soloist with the Svitanok Dance Ensemble for seven years. She later founded School of Modern Dance, where she continues to teach, choreograph, and work with dancers of different ages and levels. With over two decades of experience, Anna is passionate about sharing her knowledge and love of dance with her students, helping them develop strong technique, confidence, artistry, and versatility.

Ksenia is an experienced dance teacher and choreographer specializing in Street Styles, including Jazz Funk, Hip Hop, Dancehall, Vogue, Heels, and Femme Choreo. With over 10 years of teaching experience in Eastern Europe and Canada, she brings a strong and diverse background to her work with both youth and adult dancers. At School of Modern Dance, Ksenia teaches Competitive Street Styles as well as adult Femme Choreo and Heels, including Competitive Femme Choreo. Her students consistently achieve strong results and earn top placements at dance competitions. Known for her creativity and distinctive choreography, Ksenia has a talent for bringing out the best in each dancer. She knows how to connect with students of different ages, personalities, and levels, helping them build confidence, develop their individual style, and reach their full potential.

Raven is an experienced dance teacher and choreographer with over 10 years of teaching experience and more than 20 years of experience in dance. With a strong technical foundation and a diverse dance background, she specializes in Acrobatics, Musical Theatre, Contemporary, Lyrical, and Jazz. Raven is a passionate and dedicated teacher who brings both strong technique and a supportive approach to every class. She is known for creating a positive environment where dancers feel comfortable learning, challenging themselves, and building confidence. Her warm personality, patience, and ability to connect with her students make her classes both productive and enjoyable. Raven is a much-loved member of the School of Modern Dance team, and her students appreciate the energy, encouragement, and care she brings to their training.
Raven Saville

Celeste is an experienced dance teacher, choreographer, and freestyler specializing in Hip Hop and Popping. She has been dancing since the age of 3 and teaching for over 14 years. Deeply connected to the street dance community, Celeste continues to develop her craft through battles, performances, and various dance projects in Ottawa, Toronto, Montreal, and beyond. At School of Modern Dance, Celeste works with both competitive and recreational dancers of all ages, from children to adults. Known for her creativity, distinctive style, and dynamic choreography, she brings a fresh and authentic approach to every class and performance. Celeste’s energy and strong stage presence are an important part of her teaching and choreography. Her students love the energy she brings to the studio, and her classes encourage dancers to develop confidence, individuality, musicality, and their own personal style while building a strong foundation in street dance.

Hailey is an Ottawa-based dancer, teacher, and choreographer with training in ballet, contemporary, modern, jazz, musical theatre, commercial dance, and heels. She graduated from Canterbury High School with a Fine Arts Certificate in Dance with Distinction and continued her professional training in New York at The Ailey School, where she completed the Certificate Program and performed with Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater in Memoria. Hailey has also trained at Broadway Dance Center, the Martha Graham School, Joffrey Ballet School, Millennium Dance Complex, Ailey Extension, and Playground LA. Hailey holds the RAD Advanced 1 Ballet Certificate and is currently completing her Royal Academy of Dance Certificate in Dance Teaching (Ballet). As a teacher, she is supportive and encouraging, with a focus on helping dancers develop strong technique, confidence, musicality, and artistry.

Cassidy is a passionate dance teacher and choreographer specializing in Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, and beginner Acrobatics. With a strong foundation in ballet, including RAD training through Advanced 1, she brings both technical knowledge and creativity to her classes. Cassidy has experience teaching dancers from toddlers to adults, as well as choreographing recreational and competitive routines, with her students earning special awards at competitions. Known for her bubbly personality, warmth, and endless positive energy, Cassidy has a natural ability to connect with dancers of all ages. She creates a fun and encouraging environment while helping her students build strong technique, confidence, and a genuine love of dance. Working with young dancers holds a particularly special place in Cassidy’s heart. Her kindness, enthusiasm, and ability to make every student feel welcome have made her a favourite among both children and adults at School of Modern Dance.

Syreen is a passionate dance teacher and choreographer specializing in Street Styles, Urban Dance, Jazz Funk, K-POP and Heels. She has been dancing since the age of 5 and began teaching at the age of 13. She has participated in dance competitions and musicals since the age of 9 and led her Urban Dance Tunisia Academy students to the National Championship and to first place in the World of Dance qualifications. Syreen is a passionate and detail-oriented teacher who is deeply invested in the growth of her students. She encourages dancers to challenge themselves, continuously progress, and reach new levels in their training, while developing confidence, creativity, and their own individual style. Her greatest passion is sharing her love of dance with her students and helping each dancer discover and reach their full potential.

Madison, born and raised in Ottawa, began dancing at age three. She trained locally, performed with Ballet Jörgen, and competed regionally, earning multiple titles and scholarships—eventually representing Team Canada in tap. She began teaching in 2015, became ADAPT certified in 2020, and later obtained her teacher's certification through the Kim Chalovich Tap Dance Center. Madison is also certified with Acrobatic Arts and is an affiliated member of the CDTA. Passionate about inspiring young dancers, Madison brings a wealth of knowledge across multiple disciplines, including ballet and pointe, tap, jazz, musical theatre, hip hop, lyrical, and contemporary.

Experienced dancer and choreographer in contemporary, lyrical, ballet, pointe and jazz. Amy began dancing in Calgary, Alberta at the age of 2 and has completed her ADAPT and RAD examinations as well as a fine arts certificate while attending a pre professional training program during high school. With over 20 years of combined competitive dancing and teaching experience across Canada she has won awards for her choreography at national competitions, she loves using her creativity through choreography and storytelling.

Jordana is a dedicated and passionate teacher and dancer with over 18 years of dance experience. She has trained in ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, hip hop, and modern, with a strong focus on technique and foundations. Her background includes the ADAPT syllabus, as well as Vaganova and RAD ballet methods. Jordana is known for her positive and supportive teaching style, with an emphasis on clean technique, confidence, and creating a welcoming environment where dancers can grow and thrive.

Jordana is a dedicated and passionate teacher and dancer with over 18 years of dance experience. She has trained in ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, hip hop, and modern, with a strong focus on technique and foundations. Her background includes the ADAPT syllabus, as well as Vaganova and RAD ballet methods. Jordana is known for her positive and supportive teaching style, with an emphasis on clean technique, confidence, and creating a welcoming environment where dancers can grow and thrive.

Anna Kamsha
Anna is an experienced dance educator and choreographer with over 25 years of teaching experience and an extensive background in dance and performance. A graduate of the National Ballet School in Ukraine and a Master of Sports in Rhythmic Gymnastics, she is a multiple award winner at dance competitions across Europe and has also served as an adjudicator at international dance competitions.
Throughout her career in Ukraine, Anna performed in national-level concerts and participated in numerous shows and projects as both a dancer and choreographer. She also worked extensively in the Ukrainian music industry, collaborating with a number of well-known Ukrainian singers and artists.
After moving to Ottawa, Anna continued her performing career as a soloist with the Svitanok Dance Ensemble for seven years. She later founded School of Modern Dance, where she continues to teach, choreograph, and work with dancers of different ages and levels.
With over two decades of experience, Anna is passionate about sharing her knowledge and love of dance with her students, helping them develop strong technique, confidence, artistry, and versatility.

Ksenia Kondratova
Ksenia is an experienced dance teacher and choreographer specializing in Street Styles, including Jazz Funk, Hip Hop, Dancehall, Vogue, Heels, and Femme Choreo. With over 10 years of teaching experience in Eastern Europe and Canada, she brings a strong and diverse background to her work with both youth and adult dancers.
At School of Modern Dance, Ksenia teaches Competitive Street Styles as well as adult Femme Choreo and Heels, including Competitive Femme Choreo. Her students consistently achieve strong results and earn top placements at dance competitions.
Known for her creativity and distinctive choreography, Ksenia has a talent for bringing out the best in each dancer. She knows how to connect with students of different ages, personalities, and levels, helping them build confidence, develop their individual style, and reach their full potential.

Raven is an experienced dance teacher and choreographer with over 10 years of teaching experience and more than 20 years of experience in dance. With a strong technical foundation and a diverse dance background, she specializes in Acrobatics, Musical Theatre, Contemporary, Lyrical, and Jazz.
Raven is a passionate and dedicated teacher who brings both strong technique and a supportive approach to every class. She is known for creating a positive environment where dancers feel comfortable learning, challenging themselves, and building confidence.
Her warm personality, patience, and ability to connect with her students make her classes both productive and enjoyable. Raven is a much-loved member of the School of Modern Dance team, and her students appreciate the energy, encouragement, and care she brings to their training.

Celeste is an experienced dance teacher, choreographer, and freestyler specializing in Hip Hop and Popping. She has been dancing since the age of 3 and teaching for over 14 years. Deeply connected to the street dance community, Celeste continues to develop her craft through battles, performances, and various dance projects in Ottawa, Toronto, Montreal, and beyond.
At School of Modern Dance, Celeste works with both competitive and recreational dancers of all ages, from children to adults. Known for her creativity, distinctive style, and dynamic choreography, she brings a fresh and authentic approach to every class and performance.
Celeste’s energy and strong stage presence are an important part of her teaching and choreography. Her students love the energy she brings to the studio, and her classes encourage dancers to develop confidence, individuality, musicality, and their own personal style while building a strong foundation in street dance.

Hailey Carr
Hailey is an Ottawa-based dancer, teacher, and choreographer with training in ballet, contemporary, modern, jazz, musical theatre, commercial dance, and heels. She graduated from Canterbury High School with a Fine Arts Certificate in Dance with Distinction and continued her professional training in New York at The Ailey School, where she completed the Certificate Program and performed with Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater in Memoria. Hailey has also trained at Broadway Dance Center, the Martha Graham School, Joffrey Ballet School, Millennium Dance Complex, Ailey Extension, and Playground LA.
Hailey holds the RAD Advanced 1 Ballet Certificate and is currently completing her Royal Academy of Dance Certificate in Dance Teaching (Ballet). As a teacher, she is supportive and encouraging, with a focus on helping dancers develop strong technique, confidence, musicality, and artistry.

Syreen is a passionate dance teacher and choreographer specializing in Street Styles, Urban Dance, Jazz Funk, K-POP and Heels. She has been dancing since the age of 5 and began teaching at the age of 13. She has participated in dance competitions and musicals since the age of 9 and led her Urban Dance Tunisia Academy students to the National Championship and to first place in the World of Dance qualifications.
Syreen is a passionate and detail-oriented teacher who is deeply invested in the growth of her students. She encourages dancers to challenge themselves, continuously progress, and reach new levels in their training, while developing confidence, creativity, and their own individual style.
Her greatest passion is sharing her love of dance with her students and helping each dancer discover and reach their full potential.

Cassidy is a passionate dance teacher and choreographer specializing in Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, and beginner Acrobatics. With a strong foundation in ballet, including RAD training through Advanced 1, she brings both technical knowledge and creativity to her classes. Cassidy has experience teaching dancers from toddlers to adults, as well as choreographing recreational and competitive routines, with her students earning special awards at competitions.
Known for her bubbly personality, warmth, and endless positive energy, Cassidy has a natural ability to connect with dancers of all ages. She creates a fun and encouraging environment while helping her students build strong technique, confidence, and a genuine love of dance.
Working with young dancers holds a particularly special place in Cassidy’s heart. Her kindness, enthusiasm, and ability to make every student feel welcome have made her a favourite among both children and adults at School of Modern Dance.

Rowan Dietrich
Choreographer, Dance Teacher
Rowan is a dedicated dance teacher and choreographer with extensive training in Tap, Acro, Contemporary, Lyrical, Hip Hop, Jazz, and Ballet. She has also trained at Canada’s National Ballet School, where she further developed her technique and understanding of classical dance.
Known for her strong technical approach and creative choreography, Rowan challenges her students to continuously grow and take their dancing to the next level. Her classes combine a strong focus on technique with interesting and dynamic choreography, helping dancers develop versatility, musicality, confidence, and performance skills.
Rowan is passionate about creating a supportive yet challenging environment where students are encouraged to work hard, explore their abilities, and reach their full potential.

Madison, born and raised in Ottawa, began dancing at age three. She trained locally, performed with Ballet Jörgen, and competed regionally, earning multiple titles and scholarships—eventually representing Team Canada in tap.
She began teaching in 2015, became ADAPT certified in 2020, and later obtained her teacher's certification through the Kim Chalovich Tap Dance Center. Madison is also certified with Acrobatic Arts and is an affiliated member of the CDTA.
Passionate about inspiring young dancers, Madison brings a wealth of knowledge across multiple disciplines, including ballet and pointe, tap, jazz, musical theatre, hip hop, lyrical, and contemporary.

Rowan is a dedicated dance teacher and choreographer with extensive training in Tap, Acro, Contemporary, Lyrical, Hip Hop, Jazz, and Ballet. She has also trained at Canada’s National Ballet School, where she further developed her technique and understanding of classical dance.

Experienced dancer and choreographer in contemporary, lyrical, ballet, pointe and jazz. Amy began dancing in Calgary, Alberta at the age of 2 and has completed her ADAPT and RAD examinations as well as a fine arts certificate while attending a pre professional training program during high school. With over 20 years of combined competitive dancing and teaching experience across Canada she has won awards for her choreography at national competitions, she loves using her creativity through choreography and storytelling.

Anna began her dancing career at the age of 9 in Ukraine and has been dancing since. Participated in many competitions and battles all over Ukraine, Europe and China. More than 10 years of teaching experience. Anna can't imagine her life without dancing and is very excited to share her knowledge with the students.

Asal Khashimova
With over 12 years of dance experience, including eight years as a professional ballroom dancer, Asal discovered her true calling in street styles dance. Exploring genres like hip-hop, jazz funk, reggaetón, dancehall, and R&B, she developed a distinctive and captivating style. Her journey includes participating in the Culture Shock International Choreographers Showcase in 2022, the winner of multiple international ballroom dance championship in Central Asia. Asal's passion lies in nurturing the talents of both youth and adults in expressing themselves through dance.

Lidia Hrynchenko
Lidia is certified fitness instructor and gymnastics coach, graduate of Choreographic Institute of Ukraine, founder of multiple fitness and dance groups and projects in Ukraine. After being a part of Circus Theater troupe in Finland, Lidia also traveled with Cirque du Soleil for 7 years, where she had an amazing opportunity to take multiple fitness and dance workshops along with circus artists. Lidia's passion is fitness and she gives it all when it comes to her classes.
