At SOMD, we offer classes suitable for both beginners and experienced dancers who are either just starting their journey or looking to enhance their skills in a non-competitive artistic environment.
At the end of the summer season, all classes will hold a small in-class performance for parents - technique classes excluded.
Class rates
1 Class per Week — $126
Calculated based on full 7-week session (July 6–August 20). If joining late, fees are prorated automatically at checkout.
Multi-Class & Family Discounts
2 Classes / Family Members — $226.80 total (10% off)
3 Classes / Family Members — $321.30 total (15% off)

Toddler Program
ages 2 to 3.5
Our Toddler classes are designed for children as young as 2 years old. Each class lasts 30 minutes and aims to foster a love for dance. One adult is required to assist their child during the class.

Rising Stars
ages 3.5 to 5.5
The Rising Stars program continues to develop the foundational movements in Ballet, Hip Hop and Acro/Jazz in an enjoyable, nurturing, and creative environment. Each class is 40 minutes long.

Technique
ages 6 to 17
Build strength, control, and confidence in our Technique classes, designed to help dancers improve their turns, jumps, and flexibility. These classes focus on proper alignment, balance, conditioning, to support stronger performance across all styles.
Academ Styles
For dancers age 6 and older
Depending on the age group, the classes will have two or more styles from Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Lyrical.

Street Styles
For dancers age 6 and older
Dive into the dynamic world of Hip Hop, Jazz Funk, Dancehall, Popping, House, and beyond.

K-POP
ages 9 to 15
Our K-Pop Kids Kanata class brings the excitement and energy of K-Pop straight to the studio! Students will learn dynamic routines inspired by popular K-Pop hits, improve their rhythm and coordination, and express themselves through fun, high-energy choreography.

Payment Method – Fees Are Automatically Charged on the Due Date
Fees will be automatically charged to the credit card on file three (3) days after registration. Monthly payments via Auto-Pay are available upon request. To switch to a monthly payment plan, please complete your registration first, then email us to update your payment preference.
A 3% POS surcharge applies to each credit card transaction. Cheques, e-transfers, and cash are also accepted and do not incur POS surcharge. To avoid being billed automatically by credit card, payment must be received before the due date.
Dress code
Summer classes are more relaxed and fun-oriented, but following the dress code is essential. It ensures safety and allows for easy movement. While we value comfort and personal expression, adhering to the dress guidelines helps everyone participate fully and enjoy their dance experience.
